Sri Parvathi Crackers (Sri Parvathi Agencies on the pamphlet) is a dealer in fireworks, crackers and sparklers on Sattur Road at Paraipatti, Sivakasi. Their 2026 price list runs to 132 products, and half of it is fancy items: sky shots, fountains and novelty pieces whose rate only makes sense with its unit, 10 box, 5 box or 1 packet.

A typical order was a photograph of a handwritten page: product names in the customer's own shorthand, a price beside each, sometimes two columns, sometimes a bracket joining three items to one figure. Someone at the shop read the handwriting, matched each line to the rate card, checked the unit, and only then could the bill be written. Every unclear line meant a call back.
